Rogue One: A Star-Wars Story – This is a movie that probably didn’t really need to be made, but is all the better for it. Have no worries, with rumor of upwards of 40% of the movie being reshot, nobody will be able to tell. The movie flows seamlessly from scene to scene. Director Gareth Edwards set out to make a Star Wars war film, and that is exactly what is put on display. As far as the acting goes, there isn’t a dull one in the film, some may be favored over others, but none are poor. For me personally, the standout was Donnie yen and his partner Wen Jiang. Special effects have never been better in a Star Wars movie, and the score by Michael Giacchino was excellent for its last minute composure. Overall, this is one of the best entries in the franchise. Maybe not as classic as Empire Strikes Back, but as close as any have come!
